We all know what
Myspace and Facebook are. Great internet social networking sites for artists and labels, college students, professionals and kids to interact with the world.

Like many people I am leary of joining all of these new websites. One site I kept hearing about was
"Twitter". At first, I was like, "What is a Twitter? Twit what?"

So, I logged in and in two simple steps I became an official "Twit"! By the way, that is not a derogatory term to Twitter subscribers. After you join, you can say whatever you like in
under 140 characters. However sometimes real celebrities are on Twitter interacting, in real time! Why? Because Twitter makes it easy to Twit directly from your cell phone!

For
music fans, new mixtapes are delivered hot off the press from top notch Djs and music industry executives who Twit.

Just
be careful what you say on Twitter or people will not follow you or even block you. And try to not post too many stupid comments because people get bored quickly. Even though Twitter is a fun new world… I have enough to do tryin to make ends meet in this recession as a promoter, marketer, and founder of an urban publication in Cleveland called 2one6.

You can twit what ever you like, or make up what ever you like, because you can.
Some people can read between the lines and see your mind is full B.S. or you lie though your twits. What ever you do is your choice I just hope its real and not fake Twitliars (people that twit about all the things that they never do - beware!)

Weeding through Twitter takes me a minute to find interesting conversations, follow people I'm interested in, convo with a few people I know in the city, and ban a few because their messages lack substance!

I have been Twitting for two months now and I've been actually been making a lot of real nice connections,
like minded business men/women, following some pretty informative people, and making money from it. Ideas are a driving force in a lazy society. Life is an information highway that must be driven to drive your business, promote your art, create a viral marathon, etc. quicker than the news on channel 8.

We all need to learn now how to communicate faster and with more efficiency in 2009 in order to remain competitive.

Twit and Follow Me! :o) &

I just got this email from a 32 Management Company managing a artist named CALICO JONEZ. Now I NEVER heard or this cat, not one time! So I'm thinkin is this just "another artist" promoting a record with NO STORY to tell? There is a link to listen to the record, so I click play as I always do and BOOM... I'm like oh ISSSH!!! This record is really catchy!

Next thing you know I'm clicking around on the net to do some research on this new artist Calico Jones, hailing from Memphis, Tennessee has been in XXL SCRATCH MAGAZINE, Production from Marvelous J, has landed singles for Flo-rida, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Willy Northpole of DTP, and a mixtape by DJ Scream "History In The Making." WOW!!! Now whats more phenomenal to go along with his music is that, Calico is also part of non profit organization called STREETZ ON LOCK, which is dedicated to unity and non gang violence. Which now brings me to writing this blog, from a STORY he told along with statistics.

Barack Obama has given us the word of CHANGE and through his messages we must CHANGE! Unity and non Gang Violence is a change for the youth, in which Calico Jones and his team is definitely utilizing to cross promote messages to help CHANGE the Youth.  The Single "Fadeway' feat. Soulja Boy will definitely have the youth singing the "Fadeway," and trust me when I say that Calico Jones with be the "FUTURE FOR CHANGE," within in the years to come! Can we get more artists for Change now???

My opinion is that I really think this is a Smash Record for the Streetz... 4 real!!
Real Catchy Beat, Hook, and Sound! ( 5 STARS - 2one6 Magazine )
